POSITION TITLE: Marketing Communications Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of Business Development
The Marketing Communications Coordinator works closely with the Director of Business Development and Senior Management to facilitate the growth of the firm by increasing exposure and building client rapport through various public relations, social, inbound and outbound marketing strategies, as well as by assisting in responding to Requests for Proposals and supporting the overall marketing effort of The Wooten Company and its subsidiaries (Wooten Technologies).
The right candidate will be comfortable in managing numerous projects on a continual basis and bring self-motivation, creativity and energy to the Business Development Department.
ESSENTIAL MARKETING FUNCTIONS
Ownership of company website
Development and implementation of email campaigns/social media material
Tracking and reporting on resulting engagement
Identifying opportunities and implementing public relations, branding and other mass media coverage
Oversee advertisements in industry publications
Complying with corporate style guide to present a consistent appearance and style for external marketing communications, including qualification packages, presentation graphics, advertisements, and awards submissions
Maintain and upgrade company/office signage
Design and inventorying of marketing/corporate materials (conferences, brochure, business cards, cover sheets, SWAG, etc.)
Support CRM database by ensuring appropriate data is entered and maintained, including client information, project information, resumes, awards, etc.
Track competitor activity to ensure marketing strategy is competitive
Assist in organizing and occasionally attend industry events and conferences. Including registration, postcard/email mailings, dinner arrangements, exhibit booth materials, logistics, etc.
Assist the Marketing Proposal Coordinator in designing, drafting, formatting, proof-reading, production and delivery logistics of final responses to request for qualifications and proposals
Assist the Director of Business Development in development and implementation of the marketing strategy
Assist HR Department in internal communications through design of the quarterly newsletter
Market research experience
Experience in website construction & maintenance (Wordpress a plus)
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office
Competent Abode Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator) capabilities
Excellent communication skills
Project Management experience
Well versed in Customer Relationship Management software (Deltek Vision CRM software experience a plus)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities, required to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be to possess a four-year degree in Business, Marketing or Communication, and have 2-3 years of experience in marketing.
