Job Description

Our Summer Internship program is back and we are again excited to offer a great opportunity for an engineering student to gain experience in a consulting engineering firm environment. The expected workweek will be 40 hours, and specific tasks could include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform field work with respect to evaluation of water and/or wastewater systems and other civil project areas
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and report writing
  • Research and organize information for use in drawings and other documents
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, public agencies and engineering design staff
  • Assist engineers in various tasks and duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Solid written and oral communication abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analytical skills with an emphasis in problem solving
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform field work including the periodic lifting of up to 50lbs
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record

Qualifications:

  • Must be in the process of completing a BS or MS from an ABET accredited university in the field of civil or environmental engineering
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Working knowledge of CAD (Microstation or AutoCAD) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS is a plus
