Building Systems Group

Our Building Systems Group provides mechanical/electrical/plumbing and architecture. Our engineers work with other architects and owners to provide high quality design to ensure project success. We are proud to say that we have been involved with over 40 schools in Wake County – either new construction or renovation. In addition, we have provided engineering services for hospitals, community facilities, offices, universities, and private facilities. Our job is to work seamlessly with the architect to deliver a successful building to the owner.

Our architects focus on community projects including town halls, fire/police stations, agricultural buildings, and specialty niches like elevator renovation. We assist communities with securing financing for qualifying projects by identifying the resources and providing the necessary preliminary space needs assessments required by the funding agencies.

The Wooten Company has always incorporated elements of sustainable design and energy efficiency into our designs.  However, as the demand and desire for more stringent and enhanced sustainable design features grow, we are encouraging our engineers and designers to further incorporate this higher level of ‘green’ engineering into their designs.  To this end, many of our engineers and architects have become LEED Accredited Professionals and we have begun offering commissioning services.  We have a certified commissioning agent who is also a Professional Engineer on staff.

As we work to have more professionals accredited, we conduct in-house training on LEED and other sustainable practices.
