<< Previous ProjectNext Project >> This project consisted of the preparation of an overall strategic plan for that portion of the US 311 By-Pass within the City's jurisdiction and a description of land use, transportation and appearance issues at specific interchanges to serve as a comprehensive guide to development. The plan is unique in that from the beginning all attempts were made to integrate what have traditionally been separate planning disciplines - land use, transportation and urban design. The strategic plan also provided a framework for small area plans to be prepared for each of the ten interchanges on the by-pass. The ten small area plans included alternative land use scenarios, transportation modeling, development standards, design guidelines and implementation strategies. |
