<< Previous ProjectNext Project >> This project involved developing preliminary subdivision plans for three areas within the Global TransPark (GTP). The GTP desired to have three distinct areas available for development - one for large footprint industrial users (10 - 50 acre lots); the second for smaller users (1 - 6 acre lots); and a third for commercial/office development at the primary entrance to the Park from NC 58. During the time the subdivision plans were being prepared. The Wooten Company also assisted the GTP with infrastructure planning, development of the first zoning ordinance, and the preparation of aesthetic site development standards. The Wooten Company was commissioned by the Global TransPark Regional Development Commission to assess the water and wastewater needs of the 13-county region surrounding the North Carolina TransPark. The NC Global TransPark is a developing transportation and industrial complex designed to meet the present and emerging needs of national and global commerce. The study involved the identification of groundwater and surface water resources in the region and, based primarily on published water resource planning documents, identified water and wastewater needs for the year 2020. Recommendations were prepared for multi-jurisdictional solutions to the identified needs. Organizational arrangements for service delivery and financing alternatives for capital costs were also identified. |
