In an effort to more effectively manage and budget for infrastructure maintenance and design, Edgecombe County requested The Wooten Company to assist them in designing a Geographic Information System (GIS) database. The objective of the project is to inventory water and wastewater system features in Edgecombe County and provide the information to county staff in a compatible GIS format. The Wooten Company utilized its mobile GIS capabilities along with its GPS technology to capture the locations and attributes of the infrastructure assets.
