The project was a new 270,000 square foot high school for Wake County. The facility was a complex building with 1, 2 and 3 story wings and interconnected areas, which included a complete kitchen and dining area. In addition, toilet facilities were added to the school stadium at a later date. The Wooten Company provided complete engineering design services for these school projects including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications and life safety systems. An ice storage system to take the place of one of two chillers was designed as an energy saving alternative. An extensive filter and dust collection system was designed for use in the Cabinet Lab/Shop area. The Wooten Company also provided construction administration for the project.
