The Wooten Company provided electrical engineering design services for a comprehensive study of the electrical distribution of the entire campus of East Carolina University. The project composition included design services, which assisted in meeting both the short-term and the long-term goals for the electrical distribution system of the entire campus.

Short-term goals included:

• Field verification of existing system configuration
• Determination of deficiencies in the existing system
• Development of alternative solutions to overcome deficiencies
• Provision of aerial mapping for all utilities and development of GIS system

Long-term goals included:

• Study of the entire system with long-range planning for the next 15 to 20 years
• Provision of alternative schematics with multiple objectives; technical and economical
• Provision of implementation strategy for the preferred alternative
