The Wooten Company Promotes Gary Hartong to Branch Manager March 28, 2007
Mr. Hartong has a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University and is currently pursuing his Master of Civil Engineering degree from NCSU. Gary is married to Dana and they have one daughter, Carson. “Gary has been a dedicated employee his entire career with us,” comments Bucky Moore, President of The Wooten Company. “He has literally ‘grown up’ in our organization and knows our business culture and core values. He has, on numerous occasions, stepped forward to volunteer for work assignments that didn’t necessarily bring recognition, but nevertheless had to be done. He is a true professional in his field with leadership qualities that will allow our Greenville office to meet its strategic goals. Gary’s new position with our firm should allow him to maximize his personal career goals, also,” he says. Since joining the firm, Mr. Hartong has been active in the preparation of water and wastewater cost of services studies, long range water and wastewater feasibility and planning studies, preliminary engineering reports, capital improvement plans, wastewater and sludge permitting and compliance, and development and administration of industrial pretreatment programs. The Wooten Company recently promoted Gary Hartong, P.E. to Branch Manager of its Civil/Environmental Department in the firm’s Greenville, NC office. Mr. Hartong has been employed as a Project Engineer in the Raleigh office since 1998.
