The Wooten Company Celebrates 75 Years

Engineering Firm to Commemorate Diamond Anniversary in Style

The Wooten Company, one of the most reputable engineering, planning and architectural firms in North Carolina, is celebrating its 75th anniversary of successful business this year.To commemorate the occasion, the firm will hold several events over the coming months, including celebrations at local baseball games, an invitational golf tournament, and a company-wide anniversary picnic. In keeping with the “diamond” anniversary theme, The Wooten Company will hold special events for their offices in Raleigh, Greenville, Hickory and Asheboro during select baseball games of the Durham Bulls, the Kinston Indians, and the Hickory Crawdads this summer. The events will include activities for local employees, clients and their families, as well as recognition by the local communities for The Wooten Company’s successes over the years.

The firm also will hold an invitation-only golf tournament for clients and employees on June 3 to show its appreciation for the individuals and groups that contributed to The Wooten Company’s growth and success over the past 75 years. The firm will also hold an anniversary picnic for all employees and families on October 3, The Wooten Company’s actual birthday.

“This is truly an exciting time for The Wooten Company,” said President Bucky Moore. “We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate our achievements over the past 75 years while bringing attention to some of our more recent projects that will help meet North Carolina’s infrastructure needs over the next several years.”

For the past 75 years, The Wooten Company has been dedicated to designing rural electric lines, water and sewer systems, building systems and community planning development projects all over the state of North Carolina. The firm is most known for its work on North Carolina State University’s Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh and for its engineering work on various water and wastewater facilities across the state. Their services include sanitary/environmental engineering, general civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, community planning, architecture, landscape architecture, and GIS/mapping services. In addition, The Wooten Company provides project financing assistance for local government projects and, since the early 1990s, has helped raise over a quarter of a billion dollars in funds for infrastructure improvements and community enhancements.
